Upstate New York Family Lawyer

I am an attorney admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1992. In the first ten years of my career, I practiced widely, both Upstate and Downstate, in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, plaintiff's personal injury, criminal defense, matrimonial law, appeals, and family law. Since opening my own law office in 2003, I have practiced largely in the areas of family law, criminal defense, matrimonial law, appeals, and plaintiff's personal injury. While admitted to practice in the federal courts in all four districts of New York, my practice is now limited exclusively to the courts of New York state.

As a current member of 18-B panels in Saratoga, Schoharie, and Washington Counties, I have represented clients in a wide range of matters in civil and criminal courts since 2003. As a current member of Attorney For The Child panel in Saratoga County I have been representing children in family court since 2003, on every conceivable matter.

I have extensive experience in the various family courts and criminal courts of the Greater Capital Region as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the law as it pertains to these various courts, in addition to appeals from these courts. I have handled appeals in both the Second and Third Departments.

My office is in the lovely old Chocolate Factory, a converted old mill on the Kayaderosseras Creek, in the north end of the Village of Ballston Spa, just across Route 50 from J.J.'s Snack Bar, and about a mile north of the Saratoga County Municipal Center. The Chocolate Factory has ample parking and is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator in the building. There is also a CDTA bus stop in the front of the building.

I have practiced in every county from Warren County, in the north, to Richmond County (Staten Island) in the south; from Broome County, in the west, to Suffolk County in the east, as well as in hundreds of the courts found in those various counties.

Currently, I serve the eleven (11) county area of the Greater Capital Region, specifically the counties of Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington, and the many cities, towns, and villages found therein. In special circumstances, I will also cover the surrounding counties of Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Hamilton, Herkimer, Otsego, and Ulster.
