New York Family Law Attorney
I am an attorney admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1992. In the first ten years of my career, I practiced widely, both Upstate and Downstate, in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, plaintiff's personal injury, criminal law, matrimonial law, appeals, and family law. Since opening my own law office in 2003, I have practiced largely in the areas of family law. While admitted to practice in the federal courts in all four districts of New York, my practice as a Saratoga County family law attorney is now limited exclusively to the courts of New York state, as well as being limited almost exclusively to the Third Department (with rare exceptions).
Over the years, I have practiced in every county from Warren County, in the north, to Richmond County (Staten Island) in the south; from Broome County, in the west, to Suffolk County in the east, as well as in hundreds of the courts found in those various counties. I have extensive experience in the various family courts and criminal courts of the Greater Capital Region as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the law as it pertains to these various courts, in addition to appeals from these courts. I have handled appeals in both the Second and Third Departments.Upstate New York Family Lawyer
In the past, I have been a member of the 18-B panels in Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties, representing clients in a wide range of matters in civil, criminal, and appellate courts since 2003. I have also been a member of the law guardian/attorney for the child panels in Columbia, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties, representing children in family and appellate courts since 2003, on every conceivable matter.
Having spent over ten (10) years representing adults and children as assigned counsel in the various courts, my practice as a Saratoga County family law lawyer is now dedicated almost exclusively to representing private clients, often in hotly contested matters, largely in Family Court, Supreme Court, and local criminal courts.
I insist on meeting all of my prospective clients at a free one hour office consultation so that I can explore at length the aspects and merits of the various cases that are brought to me. If the client and I are a good match, then the client normally retains me shortly thereafter upon payment of the entirety of the retainer. As soon as the full amount of the retainer is paid, I immediately get started on the case.
My office is in Suite 203, Building 1 on 20 Prospect Street. Building 1 is the smaller, two-story building directly in front of the larger 4-story Building 2. Together, these buildings are collectively known as the Chocolate Factory. As you can imagine, the Chocolate Factory is in fact an old chocolate factory which has been converted into professional offices, located along the Kayaderosseras Creek, in the north end of the Village of Ballston Spa, just across Route 50 from J.J.'s Snack Bar, and about a mile north of the Saratoga County Municipal Center. The Chocolate Factory has ample parking and is wheelchair accessible, with elevators in both buildings. There is also a CDTA bus stop in the front of the building.
Currently, I serve the eleven (11) county area of the Greater Capital Region, specifically the counties of Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington, and the many cities, towns, and villages found therein. In special circumstances, I will also cover the surrounding counties of Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Hamilton, Herkimer, Otsego, and Ulster.
Office meetings are by appointment only, although my availability is from Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 9:00pm. So, call me to speak with a Saratoga County family law attorney: I can help you.
